Mayo settles with former executive over stolen secret allegations
Mayo Clinic has settled a lawsuit against a former executive, Dr. Franklin Cockerill.
Mayo sued Cockerill after he took a leadership position with a competing company, saying he allegedly misappropriated trade secrets.

A statement from Mayo says in exchange for dropping the suit, Cockerill will not work or consult for Mayo's largest competitors for two years, he will return confidential material and pay a portion of Mayo's legal expenses.
