A 19-year-old Brookston, Minn. man died in a head on crash with a snowplow Wednesday night.
The Minnesota State Patrol said Winston Lahti was driving eastbound on Highway 2 in St. Louis County when his Chevy Silverado swerved into the westbound lane and hit a Minnesota Department of Transporation snowplow. Lahti's vehicle rolled to its side and landed on the south shoulder.
Lahti was taken to a hospital in Duluth, where he was pronounced dead.
Kimberly Bergstrom, 47, of Duluth was driving the snowplow. She was not seriously injured.
