Capitol committees to scrutinize Dayton budget this week
State lawmakers will spend much of their time this week digging into the details of DFL Gov. Mark Dayton's budget proposal.
Dayton unveiled a two-year, $42 billion general fund spending blueprint last Tuesday.
Now, House and Senate committees will hold a series of hearings on specific sections of the governor's plan.
MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Minnesota Public Radio News reporter Tim Pugmire, who covers the Capitol.
