Fire destroys lumberyard warehouse in NE Minneapolis

Fire burned a lumber warehouse Saturday.

Firefighters battled a three alarm fire at a northeast Minneapolis lumberyard overnight.

The fire engulfed a warehouse at the Shaw Stewart Lumber company on the 600 block of Johnston Street NE.

The Minneapolis Fire Department reports that the majority of the building collapsed in the fire. Smoke from the fire could be seen from blocks around the blaze.

No injuries were reported.
