Pedestrian killed while running across I-94 in Minneapolis
A 28-year-old Minneapolis man was killed running across Interstate 94 north of downtown Minneapolis early Friday morning.
The State Patrol said that Kyle Day was hit on northbound I-94 shortly after 3 a.m. by an SUV.
The SUV flipped over on the freeway, injuring a 45-year-old female passenger.
Day was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center but died of his injuries.
The patrol didn't say why Day was on the freeway.
