Concrete segments that will be used to make up the St. Croix Crossing bridge deck driving surface sat at the Grey Cloud casting yard. The bridge will require about 1000 segments in total.

Starting as steel skeletons, segments of the new bridge over the St. Croix River are being cast at a plant in Cottage Grove. Soon, they'll head downriver to be lifted in place to begin to form the deck of the bridge near Stillwater.
