Brooklyn Park authorities say they've located the mother of a child found on a roadside Thursday morning wearing only a diaper.
The boy, who's approximately 3 years old and goes by "Mikey," was found near 84th Avenue North and West Broadway in Brooklyn Park following a 7:40 a.m. report of a young child on the side of the road.

Police found the child then put out a bulletin seeking the public's help finding his family.
Brooklyn Park Police Deputy Chief Mark Bruley said a woman called around noon to say her child was missing.
"It is her child, we do know that," Bruley said. "She was at work. There was somebody home. We're just trying to decipher who was responsible for the child and if there was any neglect."
The child will stay in protective custody while investigators look into the circumstances around why this child was "allowed to be outside in a diaper by himself for hours," he added.
