Authorities say a 46-year-old inmate died by an apparent suicide at Hennepin County Jail Tuesday.
The man was found unresponsive in his cell this morning. Deputies performed CPR and the man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the man had been jailed for 12 days after being arrested by Minneapolis police on a criminal sexual conduct charge.
No other information was immediately available.
