The White Earth Band announced plans for a third casino over the weekend.
The new facility will rest on the shores of Star Lake in northwestern Minnesota, near the small town of Dent. It's the second recent expansion for the tribe's Shooting Star chain.
Earlier this summer White Earth announced plans for a new casino near Bagley, 40 miles northeast of their flagship casino in Mahnomen.
Star Lake is 60 miles south, representing a large expansion of territory for Shooting Star.
"Many of our guests travel from southern regions because there are no closer gaming alternatives," Shooting Star general manager Bill Marsh said in a statement.
A new casino, he said, will bring in visitors from further afield.
Construction on the new facility is slated for next year. The casino will open in 2017.
