The two DFL candidates running for the 2nd District seat being vacated by incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. John Kline announced their latest campaign fundraising numbers Thursday.
Angie Craig said her October quarterly fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission will show that her campaign brought in $507,586. She said her cash on hand is now $633,135.
Craig said in a news release that she is well placed to have the resources needed engage voters across the district.
“While I’m proud of the strong quarter our campaign posted, I’m even more excited about the strong grassroots campaign we’re building,” Craig said.
The other DFL candidate, Mary Lawrence, announced that her campaign raised $407,775 in the third quarter, and her cash on hand is now $1.25 million. Lawrence’s previous FEC report showed that she made personal loans to her own campaign totaling $800,000.
Neither candidate provided copies of their third quarter FEC report.
Reports for all candidates will be available soon online.
The third quarter FEC report shows Craig loaned her campaign $375,000. Lawrence's report shows her loan total for the year is now $1.17 million.
