Police have identified a man killed in a Maplewood home invasion early Saturday. They say Justin Niles Wright, 31, was fatally shot in his Maplewood home.
Police say they responded to a report that a man had been shot in the 2200 block of Hazel Street around 4:45 a.m. Saturday. They found Wright with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say a woman who was in another part of the home at the time of the shooting was not injured and is being cooperative in the investigation.
Police say they recovered a gun in a driveway a short distance from the victim's home on Saturday. The gun was sent to the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension lab to determine if it was linked to the shooting.
Police say they believe the shooting was not a random act and that the suspect or suspects targeted the house. No arrests have been made.
