Metro Mobility passenger struck by bullet in Shakopee

Shakopee Police say the sole passenger of a Metro Mobility bus was struck by a bullet on Highway 169 on Monday.

The incident happened around 2:15 p.m. when police say the bullet went through the side of the bus and hit a 45-year-old man from Savage.

The man was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center.

It's not clear if the shooting was accidental or on purpose.

Police from Shakopee, Savage, the Scott County Sheriff's Office, the Minnesota State Patrol and Metro Transit are searching the area for a suspect.
