An Eagan police officer struck a pedestrian with his squad car shortly after midnight Thursday.
The Minnesota State Patrol identified the man as 26-year-old Anthony Pollard of South St. Paul. He received non-life threatening injuries.
The officer, Brian Rundquist, was traveling west on Yankee Doodle Road when he radioed he was involved in an accident and requested paramedics.
Pollard was taken to Region's Hospital. Police believed his condition was serious but later the State Patrol said it was non-life threatening.
Rundquist was in a marked squad car on routine patrol.
The State Patrol is investigating.
