Hot and humid Wednesday through Friday
Our Monday was gorgeous, with highs in the 80s and plenty of sunshine.
The high pressure system that delivered our pleasant weather will move away on Tuesday, and southerly winds will spread moist air northward from Iowa. Dew point temperatures over southern Minnesota could touch 70 degrees by late Tuesday afternoon. You'll notice the muggy air!
Highs on Tuesday will be in the 80s over most of Minnesota:
Winds off of Lake Superior will keep highs in the 70s along parts of the north shore.

The jet stream shifts northward into Canada on Wednesday, allowing a dome of hot air to spread over the Upper Midwest.
Highs Wednesday will be in the 90s over much of Minnesota:

The combination of heat and humidity has prompted an excessive heat watch for much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin from Wednesday through Friday.
