Our average high temperature is 52 degrees this time of year in the Twin Cities.

We're going to shoot right by that this afternoon, and highs over central and southern Minnesota will be 15 to 20 degrees above normal:

Some 70s are possible over parts of southern Minnesota this afternoon, and we could even touch 70 degrees in the Twin Cities.

Parts of Nebraska and western Iowa are likely to top 80 degrees!

Scattered showers will be possible over central and southern Minnesota tomorrow, with lighter winds.

We're expecting light winds and plenty of sunshine on Sunday, with highs in the 50s in southern Minnesota:

Warm week ahead?

Highs on Halloween are expected to be warmer than normal, with 60s over central and southern Minnesota:

Temps should drop back into the 50s Monday evening for the ghosts and goblins.

According to the Minnesota State Climatology Office, the warmest Halloween high temperature in Twin Cities history was 83 degrees, in 1950.

The beginning of November is expected to be warmer than normal.

The 6 to 10 day temperature outlook from the Climate Prediction Center of the National Weather Service shows a tendency for above normal temps in Minnesota for Nov. 2 to Nov. 6:

It's always possible to see a cool day during any outlook period, but the overall trend is toward mild temps.
