Francis Lam has been a staff writer for Gourmet and a senior writer at Salon.com.
He's a James Beard award winner, and you've perhaps read his articles in the New York Times Magazine and or maybe watched him as a judge on the show "Top Chef Masters." He's a cookbook editor at Clarkson Potter, too.
Now there's one more thing to add to that impressive CV: host of The Splendid Table.
Lynne Rossetto Kasper — who has hosted the show ever since she helped create it 21 years ago — recently announced that she will retire at the end of this year.
