Parting thoughts: 'Pat the Cat' reigned on KDAL

It's rare for anyone in radio to stick around at the same station for any amount of time — it's a pretty tough business.

That's why it's even more remarkable that Charles "Patrick" Cadigan hosted the reigning morning show in the Duluth-Superior area on KDAL for decades.

He and longtime co-host Rik Jordan talked about anything that was "TOMA" or "top-of-mind awareness."

Pat, or "Pat the Cat," passed away recently at the age of 81 years old. MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Jordan about Cadigan's life and time on the airwaves.
