Minnehaha Academy parent opens up about explosion and upper campus move

Classes at the Minnehaha Academy upper campus were originally scheduled to begin this week, but that start date was delayed until Sept. 5.

School officials scrambled to find an alternative facility after the school's main building was severely damaged by an explosion on Aug. 2.

Earlier this week, Minnehaha Academy got final approval to use the former Brown College campus in Mendota Heights as a temporary home for the high school.

MPR's Cathy Wurzer spoke with Dave Wasson, who will have two children attending the school this year.
