The official snow tally at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 6 inches on Saturday.
That's a new record snowfall for February 24 in the Twin Cities.
The all time record snowfall for a calendar day in the Twin Cities is 18.5 inches, on November 1, 1991.
St. Cloud measured 6 inches from Saturday's storm, and Duluth had 7.2 inches.

Snow lingers up north
Some periods of snow continue in parts of northern Minnesota this Sunday morning.
A winter storm warning in part of northeastern Minnesota, and a winter weather advisory in north-central Minnesota expire at 9 a.m.:
