Storm ending this morning

Here is a quick update of what you might want to know early this morning:

  • Generally around 4 to 8 inches of snow fall across the Twin Cities metro area

  • Greater amounts of about 8 to 10 inches fell farther north from the Detroit Lakes area to around Hinckley

  • There were many crashes and even more spinouts on Monday

  • Temperatures are below freezing this morning and many streets and roads remain slippery

  • Snowfall is tapering off gradually

    1. High temperatures this afternoon will range from the low and mid 20s near Canada to the low 30s in most of the state

    2. Clearing will bring colder temperatures tonight

    3. Highs tomorrow should be in the 20s statewide
