About those downright chilly temps in August

Temperatures in International Falls, MN dipped close to freezing on Thursday morning, shortly after Death Valley, Arizona reported the hottest month ever recorded.

But in Minnesota, this year's August thermometer swing wasn't the coldest ever: Tower, MN recorded a temp of 21 degrees on August 28, 1986.
