Beach Boys founding member Al Jardine brings his "A Postcard from California" show to the Dakota Jazz Club tonight and tomorrow night.
The show is a combination of music and stories about the Beach Boys and Jardine's own life. It shares a name with Jardine's 2012 solo album — the title track from which describes how Jardine's family moved from Ohio to California after his father got a job offer in the mail.
