How this week's wintry weather blast could affect migratory birds in Minnesota

Visitors to Minnesota for the Final Four were able to get out of town before this week's big winter storm, but others who flew in may have a tougher time of it. We're talking migratory birds here — this is prime migration season, and the Mississippi River is a popular route.

MPR News host Cathy Wurzer checked in with Sharon Stiteler (the "Birdchick") for more on which birds are back in Minnesota, and how the storm could affect them. Stiteler is a park ranger for the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area.
