Thunder woke some of us up well before our alarms were set to go off. Some people in the south metro also had large hail:

Isolated thunderstorms are possible Thursday in the metro area, with a better chance of thunderstorms in parts of northern Minnesota and the far south. 

Thunderstorm chances increase in much of Minnesota, including the Twin Cities metro area, Thursday evening and overnight. Some severe thunderstorms will be possible:

Highs will be around 90 to the lower 90s in southern Minnesota and the Twin Cities metro area:
