Unsettled weather has returned. Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see periods of rain and thunderstorms this Sunday and Sunday night. Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible.
The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center shows a slight risk of severe weather Sunday and Sunday night in portions of central and southern Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin:

The Twin Cities metro area is included in the slight risk for severe weather, which means that scattered severe thunderstorms are possible:

The main severe weather threat is damaging winds, but a few tornadoes are also possible in the slight risk area. A marginal risk of severe weather surrounds the slight risk area in Minnesota and Wisconsin. The SPC will update the severe weather outlook several times today, and will issue severe weather watches if needed. Heavy rain is also possible in some areas.
