If you are looking for a place to see pretty and rare Minnesota wildflowers this weekend, Kelly Povo and Phyllis Root suggest a trip to the Mound Prairie Scientific and Natural Area in Minnesota's Houston County, just west of La Crosse, Wis.
Povo and Root are the authors of “Searching for Minnesota’s Native Wildflowers.” They sent in an audio postcard which describes the flowers and the challenging terrain they encountered to get to them.
