Showers and thunderstorms at times Monday and Monday evening

A few strong to severe thunderstorms are possible

Areas of showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over about the southern half of Minnesota and much of Wisconsin Monday afternoon and evening. A severe thunderstorm watch continues until 3 p.m. Monday for west-central Wisconsin and parts of northwestern Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center shows an enhanced risk of severe weather Monday and Monday night for the southern part of the Twin Cities metro area and much of southern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin:

Scattered severe thunderstorms are possible in the yellow shaded area surrounding the enhanced risk area.
