Our Thursday afternoon will be breezy, and parts of northern Minnesota could see a passing sprinkle. Temperatures will be comfortable, with low humidity.

Thursday afternoon highs will reach the 60s in about the northern third of Minnesota, with 70s elsewhere. Most of the Twin Cities metro area will top out in the upper 70s.

Highs in the lower 70s will be common on Friday, with a few 60s northeast:

Saturday highs will be mainly in the lower 70s:

Mid-70s, and a few upper 70s, are on tap for Sunday:

Friday should be dry in most areas. Far southern Minnesota could see some scattered showers Friday night. Saturday looks mostly dry. One forecast model shows a shower chance in northern Minnesota on Sunday. 

An early look at Labor Day shows a shower chance in northern Minnesota spreading to the south Monday night.

The center of Hurricane Dorian was 220 miles west-northwest of San Juan, Puerto Rico, this Thursday morning, with max winds of 85 mph:

Hurricane Dorian is expected to be a major hurricane when it approaches the Florida coast on Sunday:

The forecast graphic depicts the “cone of uncertainty” of the path of the center of Hurricane Dorian.  The National Hurricane Center will update the Hurricane Dorian forecast every few hours.
