Two Minnesotans will be joining the USA Gymnastics 2019 Women's World Championships team.

Sunisa Lee from St. Paul and Grace McCallum from Isanti, Minn., are two of the six women who will represent Team USA at the 49th FIG Gymnastics World Championships from Oct. 4 through 13 in Stuttgart, Germany.

This will be a championship debut for 16-year-old Lee, and the second championship for McCallum, also 16, who was a part of the USA gold medal-winning team last year.

Officials announced the team roster Monday at the end of the world team selection camp in Sarasota, Fla. Simone Biles automatically qualified by winning the all-around at selection camp the day before with a score of 58.550. Lee took second place, scoring 58.200. McCallum finished sixth.

Joining Biles, Lee and McCallum will be Jade Carey of Phoenix, Kara Eaker of Grain Valley, Mo., and MyKayla Skinner of Gilbert, Ariz.

The five-person team will be named 24 hours prior to the start of the world competition.
