The Thursday morning commute is slow in some areas again due to dense fog, and parts of northern Minnesota woke up to measurable snow.
Thursday morning fog
The poorest visibilities Thursday morning are in northern Minnesota, especially through the Arrowhead, where fog is reducing some visibilities below a mile.
Fog conditions will improve slowly through the morning. Skies will remain cloudy to mostly cloudy all day even outside of the fog.
Precipitation in northern Minnesota
There is still precipitation in northern Minnesota that will clear from south to north through the morning, finally ending around the Canadian border later this afternoon.

Most of the precipitation is snow that will total 0 to 4 inches by the time it ends. However, there is still some drizzle and light rain mixing in, especially in northeastern Minnesota, and many areas saw light freezing precipitation overnight Wednesday, so watch for slick spots on the roads.
Here is the expected forecast by 1 p.m. Thursday.

Thursday temperatures
Temperatures stay above average for all of Minnesota, with most of western Minnesota reaching highs in the mid- to upper 20s and eastern Minnesota in the low to mid-30s.
