Thursday will be another mild day across Minnesota, with above average temperatures for the entire state. The only precipitation is an area of snow and ice departing the Arrowhead.
Precipitation
A weak cold front is moving across the state Thursday morning, and it has brought light areas of snow and ice across northern Minnesota since Wednesday. As of 7 a.m., the snow is mostly in the Arrowhead but should be entirely cleared out by late morning.

The snow is so light that totals will be under an inch. However, there is occasional freezing rain mixing in, so watch for slick spots on the roads.

Snow is also reducing visibility at times. Skies across Minnesota will stay mostly cloudy all Thursday.

Temperatures
We’re starting off very mild, with most of the state in the 20s and 30s. That puts Minnesota 10 to 20-plus degrees above average for morning lows.
Because of the cold front moving across the state, temperatures will not rise much by Thursday afternoon and some places, such as the Twin Cities, could see temperatures fall slightly by afternoon. But the entire state will still be well above average all day.

We have another chance for light snow across Minnesota Friday. The extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
