The northwest corner of Minnesota is waking up to dangerous cold Friday morning, while the rest of the state sees colder air spread. Southern Minnesota may see a few flurries.
Friday’s cold
Northwestern Minnesota is already under a wind chill advisory Friday morning until noon, due to subzero temperatures and 10-20 mph winds.

This cold air will continue to spread across the state Friday. Many places have set their high temperatures for the day already, and temperatures will either fall all day or warm just a couple degrees in the afternoon then continue to fall.

Here are the expected statewide temperatures as of Friday afternoon:

Friday snow chances
The day will stay dry for most of the state, except that a system well south of Minnesota could bring flurries and breezier conditions to southern Minnesota by afternoon. All but northern Minnesota sees mostly cloudy skies Friday.
