Light snow and fog start Monday's weather, then sunshine prevails

Temperatures remain below average

The holiday is starting off with areas of fog in northern Minnesota, light snow in southern Minnesota and temperatures that remain below average.

Precipitation

A band of very light snow is making its way through southeastern Minnesota Monday morning.

There are also areas of fog reducing visibility for portions of northern Minnesota. Because the morning temperatures are subzero for the areas seeing fog, it is freezing fog, which could cause some slick areas.

Both the fog and the snow should be over by midday.
