Another cold snap for Minnesota
A few areas are still seeing light snow Tuesday morning
Cooler air has settled back in across the state, and parts of northern Minnesota are seeing lingering snow Tuesday morning.
Tuesday’s forecast
Behind the storms that brought snow across much of Minnesota on Monday, cooler air has returned to the state. Temperatures as of Tuesday morning are ranging from single digits in northern Minnesota to teens for the rest of the state. That is a seasonable start to the day, but because temperatures will either hold mostly steady or barely rise through the day, our highs will be below average.
The overnight will be even colder, with the entire state below zero by Wednesday morning and winds chills of minus 15 to minus 30.
There is a little light, lingering snow in northern Minnesota Tuesday morning, especially around the Duluth area.
This will continue to taper off through the morning, although stray flurries remain possible across the state Tuesday.
A big warmup is coming by the weekend. That extended forecast will be posted around 9 a.m.
