Dangerous cold until Thursday morning, then warm by Friday
Sunshine prevails through Sunday
Arctic cold continues through Thursday morning, then a warmup puts the entire state in the 30s by the weekend.
Cold snap continues
Minnesota started off very cold Wednesday morning, with most of the state dipping below zero, and parts of northern Minnesota 20 below or colder.
Under sunshine, the entire state should make it above zero for highs Wednesday, but that will still be about 20 degrees below average for most of the state.
Clear skies overnight will allow temperatures to plummet again by Thursday morning, putting the entire state below zero and wind chills at minus 15 to minus 30.

By Thursday afternoon, the entire state warms up into the teens under both sunshine and a southwest wind pattern by the afternoon that will draw in milder air.
Weekend warmup
Under that mild, southwest wind pattern and continued sunshine, temperatures rise even more by Friday. The entire state is likely to see highs in the 30s from Friday through at least Monday. A few spots may even hit 40 over the weekend.
There will also be plentiful sunshine through the weekend, so overall it is looking like a pleasant weekend for any outdoor plans!
Snow chances
As mentioned, sunshine prevails through the weekend. It currently looks likes a few more clouds might come back in by Monday, with slight chances for light snow coming back into the forecast maybe Monday or Tuesday. It does not look like there will be any significant storms in the next week. Here is the forecast snow through next Wednesday, showing that the current weather models put any snow for the next seven days at under an inch.
