The week ahead remains very mild, with a couple rounds of light precipitation possible through mid-week.
Monday’s weather
Monday started off comfortable for early March, with most of the state in the 20s or warmer. However, because a cold front passed through on Sunday, high temperatures will only make it into the 30s.

That’s still above average, but noticeably cooler than temperatures over the weekend, where many locations made it into the 40s. On Sunday, the Twin Cities saw its first 50 degree reading in four months.
Skies for all but parts of southern Minnesota will stay mostly cloudy Monday, and it will remain breezy, especially for northwestern Minnesota. Light snow will move into northern Minnesota by the afternoon, with a couple snowflakes possibly making it as far south as the Twin Cities by late Monday night.

Accumulation will remain light, with the highest amounts possible for northwestern Minnesota at one to two inches of snow.

Precipitation chances
A couple weather systems clip by or pass across Minnesota the next few days, bringing the entire state chances for a couple rounds of rain and snow through Thursday. Most of the precipitation will stay very light. A storm that moves across northern Minnesota Thursday will bring gusty winds across the entire state.

It is also likely to bring some additional snow accumulation to northern Minnesota, although the forecast amounts are currently uncertain as it could be a rain and snow mix. Our sunniest days this week will likely be Friday and Saturday.
The mild trend continues
Temperatures remain above average for the entire next week. Highs stay slightly above average most of the work week, but by the weekend, temperatures really soar, with 40s and 50s across the state.

A few readings in the 60s are even possible by Sunday. Here is the temperature forecast for the Twin Cities, showing that warming trend:

That means a lot more snow will be disappearing in the week ahead!
