Areas of light snow and rain are moving across Minnesota, and skies will remain mostly cloudy Monday.
Monday’s forecast
Light snow has been moving across northern Minnesota, and as of 7 a.m. it is bringing the Arrowhead what will be less than an inch of snow for most of the region.

The snow has left slick roads in its wake, so be careful Monday morning.
For southern Minnesota, another band of light snow and rain is moving in from across the South Dakota border. This will be a rain and snow mix in the morning, then switch to mostly rain or drizzle by late morning as temperatures rise slightly.

Any precipitation stays very light, with little accumulation expected. Because of the wet weather, skies will remain mostly cloudy all of Monday, except possibly for northwestern Minnesota. High temperatures will stay very close to average, ranging from the upper 20s in northwestern Minnesota, to the low 40s in southeastern Minnesota.

A more potent storm could impact the state Thursday into Friday. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
