Tuesday will be warm, gray, and drizzly

Much of Minnesota is seeing morning fog

A warm front will keep Minnesota very mild Tuesday, but it has also brought along lower clouds, fog, and drizzle.

Tuesday’s forecast

Except for the Arrowhead, with temperatures in the teens and 20s, the entire state is starting off very mild on Tuesday, with temperatures in the 30s. Temperatures will stay above average all day.

By Tuesday afternoon, the entire state will make it into the 40s, with a few parts of southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities, in the 50s.

The warm front responsible for the mild air has also moved a low layer of stratus clouds across most of the state, causing areas of fog and occasional drizzle.

While the fog should lift some through the morning, drizzle and light rain chances remain through the day. Tuesday evening, as temperatures cool, a little light snow could mix in for the Arrowhead, but any accumulation should stay under 1 inch.

A cold front will pass through Minnesota Wednesday, bringing more rain and snow chances. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
