Sunshine is always nice, and it seems especially welcome in these days of social distancing.
Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will see plenty of Sunday sunshine. One exception will be in portions of Lake County and Cook County of far northeastern Minnesota, where some morning clouds could leak a few flurries. Skies will brighten in those areas Sunday afternoon.
Sunday highs will be in the 40s across much of northern and central Minnesota into northwestern Wisconsin. Many spots in the Twin Cities metro area and far southern Minnesota are expected to top out in the lower 50s. It’ll be breezy today, but winds won’t be as strong as yesterday’s winds in most areas.

Monday highs will range from the 40s in the far north to lower 60s in parts of far southern Minnesota:

Most of the Twin Cities metro area will probably top out in the upper 50s on Monday.
Monday will be very windy, with afternoon gusts over 30 mph. Here are the forecast 1 p.m. wind gusts::

Plotted values are in knots, with 26 knots equal to around 30 mph. I wouldn’t be surprised to see some gusts over 40 mph at times Monday afternoon and evening.
Back to temperatures, Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 50s Tuesday, followed by lower 70s Wednesday, then mid 60s Thursday and around 60 on Friday.
Monday shower chances
A mix of rain showers and snow showers is possible Monday in northern Minnesota, with mainly scattered rain showers in the remainder of Minnesota into west-central Wisconsin.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows the potential precipitation pattern Monday and Monday evening:

Windiest month
Many of us come back from our walks this time of year with disheveled hair. April is known as a windy month.
Twin Cities historical weather data shows that April has the highest (30-year) mean wind speed of any month:

On average, May is our second-windiest month of the year in the Twin Cities. It’s not surprising that August is our least-windy month of the year; I remember many hazy, warm August days when the neighbor’s wind chime stayed quiet.
