Most of the state sees the return of temperatures that are closer to average on Thursday, along with chances for light rain and isolated thunderstorms.
Thursday’s forecast
Thursday morning is starting off mild across the state, with most of Minnesota in the 30s, although the Arrowhead is seeing 20s. Highs Thursday will return much closer to average. This means southern Minnesota, which saw 70s and a few 80s on Wednesday will not be as warm, while northeastern Minnesota, which saw highs only in the 30s and 40s, will not be as cold. Except for a couple 40s near the North Shore, Minnesota will see seasonable highs in the 50s and 60s Thursday.

While there will be some breaks of sunshine, Thursday will be cloudier. As of Thursday morning, there are already a couple isolated areas of rain and drizzle in northwestern Minnesota. More spotty rain, and possibly a few isolated storms will spread into western Minnesota by afternoon and to eastern Minnesota by evening.

Rain showers and possible light snow for the Arrowhead continue through the overnight and into Friday. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
