Friday will bring mild temperatures, a mix of sunshine and clouds, and a few isolated showers and storms, especially in the afternoon.
Friday’s forecast
Friday is starting off pretty typical for late April with temperatures ranging from slightly below average and 20s for northern Minnesota to the upper 40s in southern Minnesota, which is slightly above average. High across most of the state will be mild and in the 60s.

A weather system south of Minnesota is bringing a few light showers to southern Minnesota Friday morning.

That rain will continue to move out through the morning, but some isolated showers and even a couple thunderstorms could develop into the afternoon across the state.

Rain totals Friday will stay relatively low, with most of the state likely to see under a tenth of an inch of rain. Outside of any showers, there will be sunshine, so the state will see a mix of sun and clouds during the day.
Another round of rain is possible on Saturday. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
