11 attorneys general seek probe into meatpacking industry

A Tyson Fresh Meats plant stands in Waterloo, Iowa. The attorneys general for 11 Midwestern states urge the Justice Department to investigate market concentration and potential price fixing by meatpackers during the coronavirus pandemic. Although their letter does not name them, the nation's largest processors are Tyson Foods, JBS, Cargill, and National Beef.
