A bright but cool Saturday; temps recover a bit on Sunday

Summery temps this coming week

Our average Twin Cities high temperature is 74 degrees this time of year. Most of the Twin Cities metro area will top out in the upper 60s Saturday afternoon, with a few spots touching 70. Highs in the 60s are expected across much of Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

Dew point temperatures will be very low for this time of year; mainly in the 30s with a few upper 20s to the north.

The upper air pattern shifts drastically on Monday, allowing summery temps to return.

Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the mid 80s on Monday, followed by lower 90s Tuesday, then mid 80s Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Much of southern Minnesota is expected to reach highs in the 90s on Tuesday, with mostly 80s elsewhere:

It’ll be a bit cooler near the North Shore of Lake Superior.

Thunderstorm chances this week

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible Monday morning. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s North American Mesoscale (NAM) forecast model shows this potential rain pattern on Monday:
