Temperatures in the 90s return for most of Minnesota over the next couple days, then storms chances increase the second half of the week.
Monday’s Forecast
The windier conditions Minnesota experienced Sunday continue Monday (and likely through Wednesday), with much of the state getting gusts over 20 and 30 mph at times. This continues the trend for June of Minnesota being windier than average.
It is a warm wind out of the south and southeast, which will bring temperatures for most of the state into the 80s by afternoon, with parts of western Minnesota into the 90s.

A few spotty showers and isolated storms have been making their way across the state Monday morning, but those continue to diminish through the morning, and most of the state sees dry skies Monday.

However, a weak weather boundary likely brings a few more isolated showers and storms across northern Minnesota Monday from the late afternoon through the evening, moving west to east. Isolated stronger storms are possible, with wind and hail being the primary risk.

Extended forecast
A ridge of higher pressure will keep Minnesota hot, breezy, and drier Tuesday and most of Wednesday. Much of Minnesota will make it into the 90s both days. By Wednesday afternoon, active weather returns to northwestern Minnesota, bringing a scattered chance for severe weather again.

Storm chances increase across the state by late Wednesday, then the rest of the week remains more unsettled, with occasional showers and storms possible.
The more active weather reduces the heat slightly, so more of the state will see 80s from Wednesday through the end of the week.
