Monday brings below average temperatures and dry skies across most of Minnesota.
Monday’s forecast
Behind a cold front that brought much of the state storms on Sunday, most of Minnesota is starting off in the 40s and 50s Monday morning. Only southeast Minnesota stayed in the 60s overnight, partly due to lingering cloud cover. Afternoon temperatures will be about 5 to 10 degrees below average, ranging from the upper 60s to mid-70s.

Although Monday will be far quieter than Sunday, there will be enough instability that both the southern and northern edge of the state could see a few isolated showers or storms, especially in the afternoon or evening.

The instability will also keep a mix of sunshine and clouds across most of the state through the day.
The weather remains unsettled enough that most days this week have at least a slight chance for storms. That extended forecast will be updated around 9:30 a.m.
