Temperatures stay below average on Monday, and a few afternoon showers and storms are likely.
Tuesday’s forecast
The weather Tuesday morning is starting off pretty typical for June, with lows mostly in the 50s. This is slightly milder than the widespread 40s northern Minnesota started with on Monday. Afternoon highs stay slightly below average again, in the 70s for most of the state.

Northern Minnesota is starting the day with more sunshine, but most of the state sees a mix of clouds and sunshine through the day, especially in the afternoon. There will be enough instability by the afternoon hours for scattered showers and possibly a couple storms to develop across the state. The wet weather may be more prevalent in northern Minnesota and spottier south.

Strong storms are not expected, and everything should wind down in the evening with most places seeing less than a quarter inch of rain.
Temperatures are on the rise through the rest of the week, and heat returns over the weekend. That extended forecast will be updated around 9:30 a.m.
