Northern Minnesota stays pleasant Wednesday with seasonable temperatures and mostly sunny skies, while the southern half of the state sees a few more clouds and occasional showers.
Wednesday’s forecast
Most of the state is starting Wednesday in the 50s, with just a couple 40s in central and northern Minnesota. Highs will be predominantly in the 70s again, which is seasonable in the northern half of the state and a couple degrees below average for southern Minnesota.

There will be enough instability in southern Minnesota for occasional showers, and possibly a couple isolated storms in the afternoon.

Strong storms are not expected, and any activity winds down through the evening. Northern Minnesota is likely to stay dry and mostly sunny.
A more widespread chance for rain moves in Thursday evening and brings a chance for severe weather. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
