We can’t rule out an isolated shower or thundershower in the Twin Cities metro area Friday afternoon and early Friday evening, but the better chance of showers and thunderstorms will be in southeastern Minnesota and west-central Wisconsin plus southern Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center shows a slight risk of severe weather this afternoon and evening (shaded yellow) in a couple of counties in far southeastern Minnesota and into southern Wisconsin, with an enhanced risk of severe weather in far southern Wisconsin:
The area shaded in dark green in the remainder of southeastern Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin has a marginal risk of severe weather Friday afternoon and evening, which means that an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible.

Warm and a bit humid
Our average Twin Cities high temperature on June 27 is 82 degrees. We’ll probably reach the upper 80s in the Twin Cities metro area Saturday afternoon. Most of Minnesota and western Wisconsin will have highs in the 80s on Saturday:
There could be a stray 90 in southwestern Minnesota, and a few upper 70s up along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
Saturday dew points will be mainly in the 50s to lower 60s, and winds will be light.
Moving on to Sunday, highs will be mainly in the upper 80s, with some lower 90s possible in southwestern Minnesota:
Sunday dew points will be in the 60s, with a few 50s in northeastern Minnesota:
Sunday afternoon wind gusts could reach 15-20 mph at times:
Plotted gusts are in knots, with 16 knots equal to 18 mph.
Weekend rain?
Saturday and most of Sunday look rain-free at this point. There could be a few scattered showers and an isolated thunderstorm in Minnesota and western Wisconsin late Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.
