Saturday was summer perfection in my book. We had plenty of sunshine and summery warmth, along with reasonable dew points.
The Saturday high temperature at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport was 86 degrees. That was 4 degrees warmer than our average June 27 Twin Cities high temp.
We’re expecting metro area highs in the upper 80s on Sunday. There’ll be a lot of upper 80s in Minnesota and western Wisconsin on Sunday:

A few spots in western Minnesota could top 90. Upper 70s are expected along the North Shore of Lake Superior.

By Sunday afternoon, dew points will be in the sticky upper 60s in many locations, including the Twin Cities:

Drier dew points in the 50s are expected in northeastern Minnesota.
Wind gusts of 18-24 mph are possible Sunday afternoon:

Plotted gusts are in knots, with 17 knots equal to almost 20 mph.
Higher wind gusts can be expected near any thunderstorms that develop.
Sunday afternoon and evening thunderstorm chances
Southwestern Minnesota may see a passing shower Sunday morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop in parts of central and southern Minnesota plus western Wisconsin as we go through Sunday afternoon and evening.
The NWS Storm Prediction Center shows a slight risk of severe weather Sunday and Sunday night in parts of southern Minnesota. Here’s the Twin Cities NWS discussion of the severe weather outlook:

Scattered severe thunderstorms will be possible in the slight risk area in southern Minnesota, which is shaded yellow. A marginal risk of severe weather (meaning an isolated severe thunderstorm is possible) covers most of the remainder of Minnesota plus western Wisconsin Sunday and Sunday night.

Temperature trends
Twin Cities metro area highs are projected to reach the lower 90s Monday and Tuesday, followed by upper 80s Wednesday and Thursday and lower 90s again on Friday.
We may top 90 degrees again next Saturday, the Fourth of July. The warmth may linger well into July. The NWS Climate Prediction Center shows a strong tendency toward above-normal temps in Minnesota and Wisconsin from July 5 through July 11:
