Our Fourth of July weekend will be very warm. The average Twin Cities high temperature on July 4 is 83 degrees. We’ll probably top out in the lower 90s in the metro area on Saturday, sharing lower 90s with roughly the southern half of Minnesota plus western Wisconsin:

Rain and thunder chances

Many dry hours are expected this weekend, but some areas will see a bit of rain at times.

Northwestern Minnesota has the best chance of occasional showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening. North-central and northeastern Minnesota may also see a few scattered showers and thunderstorms by Saturday evening. The Twin Cities metro area, southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin could see an isolated shower or thunderstorm late on Saturday.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible anywhere in Minnesota and western Wisconsin Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening.
